📝 What We Collect

When you use the Connect Card on this site, we collect only what you choose to give us:

  • Contact details — your name, email address and, optionally, your mailing address.
  • Visit information — whether you are a first-time visitor, a regular or a member, and any interests you tick.
  • Prayer requests and comments — anything you type in the prayer request and comments boxes, and whether you want a prayer request kept private.
  • Email preference — whether you would like church updates.

Our server also records your IP address and the time of submission to help us block spam and abuse. We do not collect payment information. Giving is handled by PayPal, which has its own privacy policy.

02

⚙️ How We Use It

  • To follow up with you after you connect and to pray for you.
  • To send a confirmation email to the address you entered.
  • To send church updates, only if you ticked the box to receive them.
  • To keep the site safe from spam and automated abuse.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

03

📬 Where It Goes

A submitted connect card is emailed to our church team and added to a private church spreadsheet (Google Sheets) that only authorised church leaders can open. A confirmation email is sent to you. We keep this information only as long as needed to care for you and run our ministry.

04

🛡️ Spam Protection (reCAPTCHA)

The connect form uses Google reCAPTCHA to tell people from bots. reCAPTCHA may collect hardware and software information and send it to Google. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

05

🍪 Cookies & Third Parties

We use a small session cookie that keeps the connect form secure. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. This site loads fonts from Google Fonts and may embed a Google Map, which can set their own cookies under their own policies. Links to PayPal, our sister churches and social sites are governed by those sites' policies.

06

🔒 Keeping It Safe

Our site is served over HTTPS and our configuration files are kept outside the public web folder. No method of sending data over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share.

07

🧒 Children

This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us details, tell us and we will delete them.

08

✅ Your Choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop sending updates, at any time. Just contact us using the details below.

09

🔄 Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new date.
